Do I need to get my film camera serviced regularly?

It’s important to remember that even though film cameras are often built like tanks, many of them have been around for decades so it would be better to have them serviced every two or so years to keep them in good condition.

Humidity also plays a huge factor on whether you should get your film camera serviced and how often, as mold or fungus can grow in your camera if it stays in a humid environment for a long time.

It’s a good idea to send your camera for a regular CLA (“clean, lube, adjust”) with a film camera technician as preventive maintenance for your camera.
